This issue contains a classic project around
the AY-3-8600 game chip from General Instruments. It plays 10 PONG variants, was
also available in kit form, and is another typical example resulting of the wide distribution of dedicated
game chips allowing to build a video game system at low price using much less
components than CMOS / TTL designs.
